Know Your Rights Workshop for Local Businesses and Employees

My office along with the City of Chicago Committee on Immigrant & Refugee Rights, Asian Americans Advancing Justice Chicago, the Vietnamese Association of Illinois (VAI), Alderwoman Angela Clay, Alderwoman Leni Manaa-Hoppenworth, and Arise Chicago will be hosting a workshop to inform local businesses and employees about their rights. It will be held at VAI's office (5110 N Broadway St Chicago IL 60640) on Tuesday, October 21 at 10-11:30AM, and will have both English and Vietnamese available.

We will discuss how to protect employees and clients' rights during interactions with law enforcement and immigration authorities and how they can prepare for potential federal immigration officer visits and audits. In addition, we'll provide Know Your Rights resources that you can share with your staff and community.
